GNU Free Documentation License What do churches do with all the money they receive? Q. People give 10 percent of their income to churches... that's a hell of a lot of money when you add up the money from everyone who donates. If you give tithe to your church, do you even know what they do with it? Are you sure they're not spending it on useless things. Useless includes making the church look nicer. I would rather donate to organizations that have a specific cause like saving lives in Africa. You know what your money is being done with. Q. If a church is supposed to teach God's law, than how come so many churches are starting to accept gay marriages? It says right in the Bible how that is wrong. Do they think they can just ignore that little fact in the Bible? Asked by Blackclaw - Fri Apr 2 09:33:06 2010 - - 27 Answers - 0 Comments A. I don't get that either. Q. I just feel like churches that speak in tongues and recite prayers in a unified fashion are a bit uncomfortable. I am a Christian, but still feel very awkward in those situations. What do you think? Asked by Misty D - Thu Feb 5 03:10:16 2009 - - 8 Answers - 0 Comments A. First off these are two very different issues that you are discussing and so I will address each separately. In regard to unified prayer or responsive readings where the pastor or someone does a reading and there is a unified response from the congregation: Reading in unison is awkward in its own right, especially with lots of people. You always have the one speaking too fast, or one jumbling words because they are trying to stay in rhythm. The fact is that most people don't like reading out loud...period. Unified or solo, people just don't want to be standing up and talking loud enough that others hear them. I think this awkwardness is just a matter of public speaking anxieties that most people face. In regard to speaking in… [cont.] Answered by Kuulio - Thu Feb 5 03:39:22 2009 From Yahoo Answer Search: "Churches" See also:
